We had a lovely short break in London as a family just before Christmas, might seem a bit weird when it’s only 20 mins on the train from where we live but it was really good fun. We stayed in this lovely boutique hotel called the Grazing Goat near Selfridges.
Although it was only a couple of days we managed to cram in a trip to the theatre to see Charlie & The Chocolate Factory – highly recommended, some Christmas shopping in Covent Garden, winter wonderland Christmas Fair in Hyde Park and went up to the viewing platform on the recently completed Shard – the tallest building in Europe. Not quite as scary though as the North Pole Flyer ride at winter wonderland which was really high, if you look in the picture that’s Maddie and I on the bottom far left!
