Yesterday was the annual Abbots Hill Carol Service at St Albans Abbey. Despite getting to the Abbey about an hour early I only managed to get a seat behind a gigantic pillar, couldn’t see a thing for the whole service but the girls did sound lovely and suddenly I’m feeling a bit more festive. Whilst I couldn’t see anything of the performers, restricted view would be an understatement (sorry did I mention that already) I did however have a good view of Maddie and managed to sneak the picture above. At least next year as she will be in year 6 we get reserved seats in the centre of the Abbey so maybe next year I won’t have to resort to playing words with friends on my phone.
