Maddie just got her latest school report and we are delighted with it. A great improvement all round with A’s (achievement) and 1’s (effort) scattered liberally throughout. She has been putting in lots of extra work off her own back as she is determined to get a progress award at prize giving. In addition she has become a complete bookworm often reading secretly far later into the evening than is really a good idea. Something I recall doing for much of my childhood too.
The photo for this entry is actually her spelling homework made into a game – roll the ball, say the next letter in the word – you get the idea. Certainly more imaginative homework than I can remember.
