So now we are trying to get her to take an occasional bottle to give us a bit more flexibility. I know she has breast fed in various public places but still… anyway given the choice I know which I would prefer so unsurprisingly any attempt to give her a bottle substitute has resulted in screaming, kicking and general don’t fob me off with this bottle crap behaviour.
Being the persistent types we have now tried several different bottles / teats combos, expressed vs instant milk etc all with pretty much the same result – Maddie ends up on the boob! Not wanting to give up our latest experiment has been to forget the bottle completely and move straight to the cup. As if by magic (and we’re keeping everything crossed) she seems fine with it – let’s hope so.
