This is the first year when Maddie has had some idea of what Christmas is about (not in the biblical sense yet) but definitely in the Santa’s coming and I’m going to get presents.
In nursery Maddie had written a letter to Santa and stuck on pictures of what she would like for Christmas. We went to see Santa but she was a bit scared – not surprising really when you tell a 2 year old that a large fat man in a red suit will be coming into her house in the night to give her presents!
Still we had a lovely Chrismas Eve today and Maddie has gone to bed leaving out a glass of wine for Santa and a carrot for his reindeer, I just hope she doesn’t wake up too early.
