Legoland

So having visited Legoland in Denmark previously and in Windsor last year finally this year Maddie was old enough (6) to earn her Lego driving licence. It was also the day that we discovered the value of Q-bots which enable you to jump the queues for all the rides, not cheap but so worth it! The whole day was a treat from Uncle Rob who I think was secretly looking for an excuse to go to a theme park as well as spending some time with his nieces. They’ve certainly transformed it from what was Windsor Safari Park when I was a kid, even the chips in the restaurants are shaped like lego bricks. They even had a water park much like the ones in Dubai but made to look like duplo, and despite the weather not being what you could describe as warm, even though it’s June, they were both keen to give it a go.

The other rides themselves whilst fun, were not exactly white knuckle rides but from the enthusiasm shown both by Katie and Maddie I suspect it won’t be long before they graduate to Alton Towers / Thorpe Park and I’m pretty sure the height restrictions aren’t going to be a problem the way they are both growing!
